Position Summary

Dana is looking to hire a smart and motivated field claim specialist to drive root cause analysis identification and issue resolution on high performance transmissions

Main Opportunities and Challenges

Opportunity to work with a prestigious OEM and suppliers on innovative and complex High Performance Transmission products in fast-paced working environment of a Global Organisation

Main Responsibilities

• You will be part of an experienced and growing team, responsible for delivering application software for customer projects into electrified powertrains. With focus on understanding Transmission System drivability and vehicle integration issues, interfaces and transmission control, ideally Dual Clutch Transmissions.
• Involved in project delivery being primary interface between OEM and Dana teams
• Elicit and implement requirements from design to production
• Support development activities to commission, debug and optimise electrified powershifting transmission systems
• Involved in validation / verification / test programs for embedded systems to ensure designs are fit for purpose; including Functional Safety aspects
• Progressive responsibility and hands-on experience with vehicle system architectures and control system applications

Job Requirements

Education : University Master Degree -  Automotive, mechanical engineering or a related field.

Professional Background :

Experience in the development of powertrain systems

Hard Skills

Essential:

• Sound diagnostic skills to allow quick and accurate identification of field issues
• Ability to solve engineering problems using a structured and logical approach
• Proficient with automotive datalog viewer/analysis tools (ideally CANape)
• Good technical knowledge of transmission systems and their controls

Considered as a plus:

• Understa nding of the interface and interactions between electrical and mechanical systems

• Sound analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritise effectively
