We’re looking for a Project Delivery and Return (PDR) Lead based in Braeside, Victoria.

Applications extend from simple commercial comfort control through to large multi-Megawatt cooling systems. A typical season provides solutions to wineries, major events, underground mine cooling, industrial and commercial clients. Aggreko designs and build high quality, leading edge equipment specifically to serve its customers through design, project delivery, operations and project return.
The Role
The core expectation from this critical management position is to ensure that all the deliveries and return all over regional business are strongly executed using the project delivery methodology and completed with a high level of efficiency, agility and commitment to the agreed deadlines.
The role is expected to provide strong focus and traction on the creation, the development and the management of the core functional expertise and capability within the regional team in order to meet the short- and long-term requirements for project delivery and return across the regional business.
Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the regional project delivery Team with strong alignment with central function ensuring required level of governance is implemented - Establish, lead and motivate the regional project team ensuring project management capability continually develops to meet the needs of the projects across the region and our customers resource from project managers, Installation and Commissioning leads to work stream leads; where necessary, manage individual projects as PM.
- Communication- Identify all project/ Programme stakeholders, including executive management, ensuring that an appropriate communication plan is in place and executed to keep all stakeholders informed of status, risks and opportunities.
- Project Management Methodology- Represent the custodian of the business project management methodology applied in the region and will be involved with the PMO function for development of efficiency and agility.
- Governance & Quality- lead the governance and quality assurance across the region in full alignment with Central to ensure appropriate levels of capability are assigned to manage the project based on its complexity and that the process is being applied as documented. Engage and participate in QHSE audits as agreed by the Head of QHSE and Director of Operations
- Monitoring Using Aggreko PM knowledge references & Control - Attend all key project gate reviews (Kick off, mobilization, close out) to ensure the required level of management control is in place, facilitate decision making and ensure that experience and lessons learnt are being applied to each project.
- Scope Management Liaise with the commercial, bid/proposal teams and sales departments to ensure the project scope is well defined, review and ensure the project delivery and return cost estimates are in place, with the required level of consistency and accuracy and that the project team has the tools on hand to manage the project to deliver the documented benefits.
- Risk Management- Own the Projects risk management procedure ensuring that risks are identified and costed adequately during the pricing stage. Ensure that lesson learned are implemented, liaise with Project Owner and support functions (Sales/Engineering/Logistic, etc.) for better identification and response risk approach.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Resource Management: Lead the projects planning process with bid managers & project team (including manpower management functions) to establish a forecast for resource demand. Manage project resources to ensure the business has the right resources available at the right time.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement through structured project reviews and actively work within the global project design & management team to improve process, quality and safety standards. Actively participate in building the global capability of the project design & management team through coaching and mentoring.
- Cost Management: Own the Project Delivery & Return cost estimation and performance ensuring that the work breakdown structure reflects accurately the projects delivered and the units costs are accurately forecasted and reported. Regularly review project cost performance with the project teams.
- Time Management / Scheduling: Gather information and develop a reliable forecast execution schedule, cooperating with Sales team from the preliminary phase until definition of the baseline, overseeing development of the planning until completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and direct the regional project team (PMs, ICLs, WSLs, etc) to safely and efficiently deliver projects in accordance with the established project success criteria
- In alignment with the Project Owners, get involved at bid stages of projects as necessary
- When required, direct and manage projects starting from award of contract up to full completion & close out.
- Manage project mobilisation and demobilisation, according to the defined complexity.
- Act as a single point of contact for the life of the project and continually manage project expectations by effectively timely and clearly communicate project expectations to all relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Project Managers and/or implement and manage all project meetings.
- Proactively support/manage changes in project scope, identify potential project issues & crisis and devise mitigation or contingency plans in coordination with relevant department involve.
- Effectively support/manage the handover project upon completion and ensure all relevant project information are available & communicated to head of operations , area operation manager .
- Conduct project post report and create recommendation in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and project department personnel and influence them to take positive actions and accountability for their assigned task.

Person Specifications:
- Bachelor’s university degree or higher in an engineering or management related course.
- 5 or more years’ experience within renewable energy projects managing multiple teams
- Certification in project management course (PMP, APM-PPQ or equivalent).
- Experienced in MS Project or Primavera6.
- Strong familiarity with any relevant project management software & tools.
- Ability to bring project to successful completion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects is a must.
- Ability to motivate, lead and drive for results.
- Fluency in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese & Arabic would be highly advantageous for the role.
