Where we need you
We are currently seeking a Senior IT Network Specialist for our location in Laives. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the IT networking system of our Automotive division, ensuring its continuous improvement. Reporting to the global IT Manager Network & Datacenter, you will be responsible for various tasks related to networking, security, and telecom equipment.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the design, optimization, implementation and monitoring activities of Networking/Security and Telecom equipment such as Routers, Switches, IPS/ID, Data Circuits, and Load Balancers
- Maintain Network and Security Standards, Configuration Compliance, Patch management, Cert review, and Roadmap planning
- Implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for key network systems
- Contribute to the development of corporate and divisional network and telecom strategy and tactical plans
- Set up system documentation and update operational standards and procedures
- Collaborate within an international support team
- Provide high-level technical support to the operations team
- Stay informed about new technologies and trends, proposing operational support technologies, tools, and techniques
How to convince us
- High school diploma with technical orientation (duration of 5 years)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration and/or design; managing and troubleshooting VoIP networks; Routers and Switch design and support in a large global environment
- Extensive experience in enterprise data center or a multi-site environments and with large remote office routing and switching
- Consultative/partner approach with clients and work with minimal supervision on difficult assignments
- Ability to lead and manage projects in a global and multi-site organization
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Cisco, HP, Palo Alto and ITIL certifications are considered a plus
- Availability to travel
Good communication skills, accountability, proactivity, autonomy in organizing workload, ability to work under pressure and efficient management of critical situations complete the profile.
