Our client one of Newcastle Upon Tynes leading law firms are actively expanding their Private Client team and are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Rural/Agricultural Property Solicitor to join their dynamic and highachieving rural department.
Role Overview:
As a Rural Property Solicitor you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive and precise legal counsel to our clients esteemed clientele. Reporting directly to the hiring firms Head of Department you will:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients while autonomously handling a caseload.
- Ensure meticulous maintenance of your case files prioritising confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Engage in a wide spectrum of matters including rural property sales and purchases farm and land refinancing farm business tenancies agricultural holdings act tenancies and easements over land.
- Actively participate in business development efforts to expand your network of referrals and contribute to enhancing your own the teams and the firms reputation.
- Collaborate with the Teams rural property partner on various rural property affairs.
Requirements
Key Qualifications and Experience:
To be a successful candidate you should possess:
- A proven background in property transactions specifically in the sale and purchase of rural and agricultural property.
- Independence as a qualified solicitor or experienced fee earner with a solid grasp of agricultural/rural property law.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage client demands and caseloads while handling noncasework responsibilities.
- Strict adherence to file and case management policies procedures and compliance.
- Precise recording of billable and nonbillable time.
- Teamoriented mindset promoting collaboration with fellow fee earners and support staff.
- A track record of delivering toptier legal advice and achieving favourable outcomes for clients.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills fostering trust and rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in independent caseload management with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues when needed.
- Uptodate knowledge and expertise in the relevant practice area staying current with legislation and case law.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and addressing learning needs.
- Active engagement with supervision processes.
- Strong proficiency in IT systems.
- An eagerness to contribute to business development efforts and cultivate a network of referrals.
