About Aethos Saragano

Aethos Saragano is a medieval stone village nestled between olive groves and vineyards in the Umbrian countryside. With 15 renovated suites throughout the town, a pool, a Spa, and our very own restaurant, "Ceci," we are preserving the medieval character of the village and adding elements of contemporary design. We want to create a special place in the middle of the Umbrian hills that invites our guests to enjoy the authentic Italian way of life. Job Overview

Aethos is looking for a fantastic Host (m/w/d) to join our team. The most successful candidate will have an authentic passion for the hospitality industry and a record of success in gastronomy. With us, you will never be bored. Every day, there will be a new challenge, be it in the role of waiter, guest relations manager, barkeeper, or strategic development with the management. Make it your project. The Host will be responsible for all property-related tasks from start to finish: welcoming & hosting guests, creating an A++ guest experience, problem-solving in daily operations, and ensuring all administrative tasks are executed flawlessly. In addition, the candidate must be a true ambassador of the Aethos brand.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Hosting guests in our restaurant (welcoming, taking orders, advising on different options)
• Guest Relations Management
• Preparation of the daily menu (including illustration)
• Preparation of hot and cold beverages as well as alcoholic beverages
• Check-in Check-out of our guests
• Administrative activities such as reservation acceptance and entry in the PMS, cash register/credit card accounting as well as general office activities
• CRM Maintenance
• Porter / Concierge activities
• Room service
• Invoicing

Core Competencies

• Fluent in English & Italianis a must
• 2+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
• Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
• Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage is common
• Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
• Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
• Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
• Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
