Job description

Position purpose The Retail Marketing Manager will play a Brand Ambassador role in assisting and liaising with Cassina HQ in Italy and the Cassina APAC team in the implementation of an effective go to market strategy (product presentation, promotions and merchandising in retail channels), ensuring the correct roll- out of the Cassina Global Marketing Calendar for the complete dealer network in China and Hong Kong. The Retail Marketing Manager will report directly to the Greater China Sales Director and functionally to the Global Trade Marketing Manager. Main activities Improve brand visibility through excellent in-store planning and executing the annual marketing key stories foreseen in the Global Marketing Calendar in collaboration with local marketing agencies. Execute trade activation programmes and promotions with partners. Work closely with the Marketing, Sales and Trade department team to ensure that local marketing strategies are aligned with global marketing objectives, revenue targets and partners’ needs. Coordinate and collaborate with local marketing agencies to implement effective and engaging point-of-sale visibility. Assist the Communications and PR office with diffusing the key stories identified, by HQ in top tier press to create visibility for the brand and support the local market. Responsibilities Execute the Marketing Strategy at a local level. Define the Annual Local Marketing plan with each partner. Regularly visit and monitor the Cassina Stores. Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, the competitive landscape and market trends to guide and meet local needs. Monitor product performance and market trends to identify opportunities. Provide reports (including photos) regularly to HQ and for any local activation. Ensure that sales aids, provided from HQ, are correctly distributed and put in place. Update and manage the Chinese contents of the official website for Cassina. Organise meetings and interviews with top tier press and Cassina management during Design Week/ visits to Greater China and Hong Kong. Skills and Knowledge Prior experience in Trade Marketing within structured organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical skills. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills. Team collaboration and ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury Education & Work experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related degree. Proven Marketing experience of at least 4-8 years in similar roles and solid knowledge of the high-end furniture, fashion or durable goods sectors. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Social Media (WeChat, LRB, etc.). Excellent level of written and spoken English. Global experience/international mindset is mandatory. Availability to travel regularly in the region and to HQ. Work location: Shanghai.
