Job Overview We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our Sales Team, with focus on the Semiconductor market. The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be responsible for aiding and convincing customers to apply leading edge Eggtronic technology in their power conversion applications. The primary role will include meeting with customers, defining new products and promoting the benefits of Eggtronic devices in the power electronics industry. The successful candidate will be a technical, customer facing individual who can understand the overall situation and objectives of customers looking to adopt a new technology. Eggtronic applications span multiple power electronics fields including AC/DC, DC/DC, SMPS, Inverters, Motor Drives, battery chargers, wireless power transfer devices. Eggtronic offers the opportunity to be involved with the most leading edge power semiconductor technology worldwide. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct customer support including device selection, circuit design/troubleshooting, thermal/electrical and system solution analysis.
• Respond to technical inquiries from existing and prospective customers with proper documentation and timely feedback/ analysis.
• Partner with distribution, providing technical support and extending the reach into the broad market. *
• Identify short and long term revenue opportunities and manage them to production.
• Work with customers, marketing and product managers to define product roadmap and product enhancements.
• Prepare technical collateral including application notes, technical papers and customer presentations.
• Actively represent Eggtronic Inc. at trade shows, conferences and other industry wide platforms through speaking opportunities, expert panel participation etc.

Skill & Experience required:

• 4+ year experiences in the fields of designing power electronics, master degree in Electrical Engineering required, with an emphasis on power electronics is preferred.
• Hands-on experience AC/DC high power designs including extensive lab skills for the test and debug. * Good understanding of different topologies (Half/Full Bridge, PFC, Inverter and Resonant circuit such as LLC/PSFB, wireless power transfer).
• The ideal candidate would have a strong background in Server/ Telecom Power, Inverter/ UPS, Solar, Energy Storage or Electrical Vehicles, or wireless power transfer.
• Design knowledge of power semiconductor devices including gate driver design, turn-on/off switching behavior, miller effect, circuit parasitics and loss calculation.
• Design knowledge of magnetic components is a very nice to have
• Able to lead in-depth technical discussions and to present technical features and benefits of our products
• Good at developing relationships with internal and external engineering communities Provide direct customer support including device selection, circuit design/troubleshooting, thermal/electrical and system solution analysis.

Desired:

• Previous application experience in power semiconductor industry is preferred
• Knowledge and design/application experience with GaN and/or SiC power devices is a plus.
• Project experience with high power (5+kW) system designs including thermal solutions.
• Experience working with internal and external customers internationally.
• An individual who desires to influence the direction of a leading emerging technology company.
