Job Description:
- Manage a very large complex portfolio and team with global impact across people process and technology
- Articulation of portfolio strategy for the portfolio sponsor and support the sponsor to:
- Set the scope and priorities for the security transformation
- Define and stand up the required governance and portfolio structure
- Determine roles and responsibilities for delivery and benefits realisation
- Responsible for significant budget and business benefits delivery
- Manage the portfolio budget on behalf of the sponsor monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits
- Excellent stakeholder skills ability to influence at a senior level
- High emotional intelligence and ability to take people on the journey
- Highly commercial mindset
- Design and facilitate workshop sessions to drive strategic decisions and requirements
- Prepare and present regular progress updates to senior global stakeholders including option paper decisions (for the programme Steer Co meetings) managing risks issues dependencies and changes to the scope
- Prepare for regular Steer Co meetings including producing high quality packs agendas
- Run regular meetings with sponsoring partners providing guidance on governance challenge on previously agreed objectives and progress; inspiring motivating and sharing the vision of the workstream and portfolio with these key stakeholders
- To manage resourcing in line with the business case
- Lead the implementation of global security standards and tools
- Adoption of portfolio delivery tools and templates as set out by the Technology Portfolio Delivery
- Partner with comms and change colleagues to deliver a consistent comms drumbeat and engagement plan to key stakeholders
Skills:
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Highly technical in delivery of security transformation portfolios and programmes
- Experience of managing a delivery team and driving high performance culture
- Experience leading large scale security programmes
- Significant Programme/ Project delivery experience with strong knowledge of multiple delivery frameworks/methods
- An ability to operate and engage at a senior executive level
- Proficient at producing and presenting senior executive level reports
- Understands a broad range of global business functions
- Able to handle complex programme dynamics and changing business priorities
- Experience working in a large and politically complex organisation
- Proven track record for planning executing controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding and proven track record of delivery using both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment
- Strong knowledge of benefits management
- Highly proficient IT skills in Word Excel PowerPoint and MS project
- Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business
- Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to competently mediate disagreements and negotiate agreeable resolutions
- Experience of leading training and coaching sessions
- Holds reviews on completion of tasks/projects to enhance future quality and planning
- Supports initiatives that promote and reward adding value and delivering the highest quality of service
- Balances the needs of the business by driving efficiencies and managing risk and costs
