Job description

For the 2024 season the Hotel Cipriani, a Belmond Hotel, Venice is looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager.

This is a seasonal position due to start approx. in March 2024.

The F&B Assistant Manager reports to the Executive Assistant Manager in charge of F&B and supports him in managing the F&B outlets, including Banqueting, In Room Dining and the iconic Bar Gabbiano. The F&B Assistant Manager takes control of the F&B outlets when necessary, attends all the relevant meeting as planned, helps with day-to-day operations, and assists with the training of the staff.

Among the main responsibilities:

- Liaise with Executive Chef and outlets Managers to ensure that all standards of food and service are maintained;

- Ensure that the Restaurant menus and wine lists are always up to date;

- Supervise all the operations practices, hygiene rules, and quality standards are in place at all times;

- Manage guest complaints in absence of the EAM in charge of F&B and take every necessary action to prevent them;

- Supervise purchasing procedures, ordering processes, and inventory activities, collaborating with the F&B Cost Analyst;

- Be aware of all training programs making sure these are properly planned within the F&B departments.

Requirements

Previous working exerience at least at a supervisory level in F&B departments of luxury hotels or resorts - international work experience is desirable;

Fluency in Italian and in English is mandatory - both verbal and written;

Knowledge of LQA Standards is desirable;

Strong computer literacy;

React well under pressure;

Treat others with respect and consideration;

Maintain confidentiality on all relevant topics and business decisions.
