About the job
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the production processes, ensuring production plans are fulfilled. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and leadership of the team in production.
Your tasks
- Foster a safety-conscious culture and maintain a secure working environment
- Organize and supervise the implementation of 5S activities to enhance workplace organization and cleanliness across all production areas
- Lead efforts to achieve LEAN production
- Ensure that production consistently meets quality standards, customer specifications, and that appropriate documentation is available
- Manage the production department to achieve efficiency and productivity targets
- Monitor, optimize, and report on production performance from material reception up to delivery to the warehouse
- Plan and execute departmental production plans to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of customer orders
- Determine resource requirements, including labor, raw materials, consumables, and shop floor equipment to ensure most efficient use of resources
- Ensure the control of product quality and adherence to quality criteria
- Implement culture of ownership for quality in all employees of production
- Organize projects to align with production orders, delivery schedules, and cost targets
- Identify material, equipment, tool, and device requirements, reporting them to the Purchasing unit and monitoring fulfillment
- Lead and guide the production team, fostering performance and professional growth
- Create culture of collaboration and ownership as per Franke values
- Identify training needs for production employees and ensure these needs are met
- Collaborate with the team to support new product launches and variant projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in production, particularly in processes and technologies similar to the core processes which this role is accountable for
- Proven track record in managing a diverse product portfolio
- Significant experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing company, preferably with multinational companies
- Thorough understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Strong expertise in production planning and execution
- Proactive and results-driven with a "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to analyse and present data and draw conclusions
- Ability to challenge the status quo and work effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage their expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, and communication
- Secondary education in technical area or university degree (preferred)
- Ability to communicate in english
