We at Hiab are looking for a Development Technician (R&D PLC BOL).

If you're a dynamic, methodical, enterprising person and strongly motivated to carry out team activities and promote on his/her own initiative the necessary activities and methodologies suitable for finalising the tasks entrusted, you can help us build a better tomorrow.

This position is based in Hiab, Italy- Minerbio. You will report to the ‎R&D Manager, PLC & B-Orders.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Take part as designer in the development of projects by helping the team in the drafting and organisation of documentation and in the creation of details of mechanical developments
• Helps to maintain correct use of the CAD and PDM system
• Helps to improve the product from the point of view of quality, safety and competitiveness
• Support in the development of prototypes and in product testing / validation activities
• Support for internal technical courses for production departments / after-sales assistance
• Carrying out tasks, even complex ones with an interdisciplinary content and international involvement within the group, in a discreet autonomy.

What you’ll need to succeed

• No experience required
• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics
• Fluent written and spoken English
• CAD design of mechanical components
• Regulatory knowledge - safety in the design of machinery, Machinery Directive
• In-depth use of excel and advanced calculation programs would be considered as an advantage
• Knowledge of programs of FEM analysis would be considered as an advantage.
