Job description
For the next season, we are looking for a Barman to join the team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/she should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. Each bartender’s primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Fulfill the Bar operations assisting with service, setup, mise en place and cleaning, according to the Belmond policies, high standards and procedures
- Welcome customers entering the bar area and maintain a friendly atmosphere. Establish and maintain good relationships with all guests and handle requests and enquiries
OPERATIONS AND STOCK:
- Plan, organize, and control the operations of a bar
- To monitor stock levels, paying particular attention to use-by-dates on perishable goods, and order replacement deliveries as required.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
GENERAL:
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Bar Manager
- Brings suggestions for improvement
- Notify Head Barman or Manager-on-Duty any time a guest is not completely satisfied with their experience

- Be capable of advising on best selling prices and review regularly according to the Bar Manager’s instructions
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous de-luxe Hotel & bar experience in the same position
- Fluent in English and Italian. Third language preferred
- Good product knowledge
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Very presentable and well groomed
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both with guests and colleagues
- Detail and guest care oriented
