Ownership, accountability. It's talked about often, especially in sales. How often is it a reality?
In this case, it is. We're working with a client who is currently active in the Italian market but does not have any direct sales teams based in the country. There's presently a relationship with a distributor but the long-term vision is for key markets to have in-house support on the ground.
Printing and flexographics technology, parts and consumables is a complicated market but one you'll be able to navigate, with both the backing of a marketing and customer service team.
As a business the quality and speed of delivery of the product are the mainstays, they're able to get the right product to the client up to 50% faster than the nearest competitors thanks to an extensive and well-invested in, machine park and a soon to be opened new factory.
This is a sales role, there'll be a combination of going out and hunting for new sales along with developing existing business.
This will include travel to clients with an expectation that you'll want to be visting multiple clients every week.
There'll be the usual regular reporting of numbers and expectations as well as trips to head office to build relationships and share best practice.
Experience of the print industry is essential, though this can be from a supplier, manufacturer or customer perspective. We'll be looking for knowledge of the market and technologies involved.
For customers, Italian will be the main language.
With team members across multiple countries, English is the core business language.
Home working is as standard and with that will come all the support you require.
This position begins as a 12-month contract which will convert to a permanent role upon successful completion of probation.
