Dayco Product Engineers have a strategic role in the design and development of new products, therefore high motivation to work in a fast-growing business environment is a must for any applicant to this position. This role will report into the Lead Engineer and will be part of a small and close-knit team of expert engineers.
he application software engineer is responsible to develop control logic and calibration for e-mobility products in Dayco Propulsion Solutions.
This role is in the innovative product development DPT, and the challenge for the right candidate is to start and grow a new branch inside the R&D with the team engaged in new power units development.
Main responsibilities of the resource will be:
· To deliver application software for e-mobility drive unit. Focus is on transmission efficiency and comfort of the user;
· Primary interface with firmware and electronics developer;
· Primary interface with system integration engineers;
· To be involved in design functionality with the development system;
· To be involved in HW design and layout;
· To Elicit and implement requirements from design to production
· To be responsible of validation and verification for embedded system.
The requirements for this position are:
· University Master Degree Electronics/Mechatronic;
· Experience of algorithm design and implementation in model-based environment using Matlab/Simulink;
· Vehicle and controller communication network experience;
· Experience of calibration tools;
· Knowledge of Bluetooth and ANT+ protocols;
· Experience in electric drive unit and or transmission application software;
· Experience with vehicle testing and ability to solve problems with a logical approach;
· Understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronics specifications and mechatronics system.
