Using integrated systems, Logista supports its customers’ business throughout the distribution chain, ensuring optimal management of orders and deliveries. For Logista Italia we are seeking for a Contract Logistics Director. Belonging to Logista Operations direction in Italy, the Contract Logistics Director’s scope is Factory Logistics services and Pharma Operations. The Role Reports to Operations Director Supervises of Manufactoring Services Manager and Pharma Operation site manager Workplace: Logista Italia Headquarters in Rome, Italy Travelling Availability: 20% - 40% (also abroad) The Contract Logistics Director oversees and optimizes all aspects of our contract logistics operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics management, and the ability to drive operational excellence. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, improve efficiency, and ensure the profitability of contract logistics operations. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational excellence and meet client expectations. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers’ peers, ensuring their needs are met, and expectations are exceeded. Cost Management: Effectively manage the budget, control costs, and maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality service. Process Optimization: in close relations with Operations, Business Transformations and IT Competence Centers in Logista, continuously assess and enhance logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety and quality requirements. Contract Negotiation: Manage contracts with suppliers, to secure favorable terms and conditions. Union Relation Support: support HR department in Union Relation discussion, agreements, timely providing operational information in terms of productivity targets, volumes evolution, working schedules, etc. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of logistics operations The Requirements 10-15 years of experience in Operations/Logistics 4-5 years of experience in the roles with same level of responsibility. Engineering or Economic degree Fluent English Complex and distributed Team Management Negotiations skills Effective Presentation and Public Speaking Excellent competences in MS Excel and Powerpoint Focusing on people Being Customer centric Seeking Excellence Acting for Change and Innovation Desiderable: Previous experience in a consultancy company Master in Finance, Business Administration Lean certification or proven experience in Lean Methodologies Spanish
