Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. As a General Accountant, you will contribute to the overall financial health of the organization by performing various tasks related to financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance.
Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Reconciliation: Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses, ensuring proper coding and adherence to budgetary guidelines. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis by providing insights and trends based on the organization's financial data. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounting procedures. Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, providing financial expertise and support.
