Job Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in fortifying our platform's ground-breaking safety features tailored for modern, digitally-connected families. While the umbrella domain is fintech, your focal point lies in assuring the utmost quality and compliance for functionalities like Family Location Sharing (FLS), Emergency Alert (SOS Support), and Crash Detection. You will assist in an upcoming project that incorporates these functionalities. The technology stack you'll interact with features frontend frameworks like SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose, a NodeJS backend, and Contentful CMS.

Its groundbreaking family finance product, Our customer, is a debit card for kids that parents manage by app using flexible parental controls. Patent-pending technology enables parents to choose the exact stores where their children can spend, manage chores, set parent-paid interest rates on savings and more. Kids monitor balances, create saving goals and learn to make real world trade-off decisions.
Job Responsibilities
As a QA Manual Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Crafting and maintaining meticulous test plans centered on the platform's upcoming safety feature.
- Authoring test cases in Jira X-ray with enough detail to add them to an established UI automation test suite.
- Implementing layered testing strategies based on project requirements.
- Ensuring unwavering adherence to the U.S. Finance regulations and data protection laws.
- Administering automated test execution via CI/CD pipelines and conducting manual tests for exploratory and edge-case scenarios.
- Compiling detailed reports and Jira Dashboards encapsulating key metrics on test outcomes, compliance status, and safety feature analytics.
- Partnering with developers to coordinate shift-left testing processes.
- Aligning testing activities with overarching business goals and regulatory compliance.
Basic Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in quality engineering, with an emphasis on UI and Integration Testing.
- Experience with automation testing and automation frameworks like Selenium.
- Experience with mobile testing.
- Demonstrated leadership in advocating for quality while constructively challenging decisions when quality may be compromised.
- Proficiency in System-Level Test Planning.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills with a Strong Affinity for Asynchronous Communication.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate quality engineering seamlessly into a shift-left DevOps lifecycle.
- Capable of interpreting and acting on testing data, analytics around team features, and compliance metrics.
- Clear and effective test case writing skills to ensure rigorous functionality and compliance verification.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies like SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
- Working knowledge of NodeJS and Contentful CMS.
- Familiarity with geolocation technologies.
- Proficiency in tools and technologies like Jira , X-ray, Postman, Datadog, Mixpanel, Contentful CMS and MySQL.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Jest, XCUITest, Wiremock, Espresso, and Bitrise.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the requirements listed above, experience or knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial:
- Skilled at authoring Gherkin-style test cases
- Foundational understanding of the U.S. Finance regulations and data protection laws.
- Background in data encryption and protection.
- Understanding of business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience in fintech or other regulated domains.
