We are looking for a new Director & Actuary to join the Holdings Retail Annuities team of our Center of Excellence in Argentina .
What you will do in this role…
- Supervise and review work of up to 5 globally located actuarial students.
- GAAP reserve valuation and financial reporting for deferred annuities.
- Explain reserve variances and earning analysis to the line of business.
- Create, maintain and re-certify all process documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary business partners.
- Participate in assumption setting process for annuities.
- Test and validate periodic model updates.
- Lead discussions with partners across multiple disciplines both internal and external. This includes IT, risk management, accountants, auditors finance, investments.
To help you succeed, you need to have…
- University actuarial studies and at least 5 years relevant actuarial experience.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a financial reporting role including explaining financial results to management, auditors, etc.
- Experience modifying and running actuarial valuation models.
- Reviewing experience studies supporting behavioral and economic assumptions and recommending updates as needed.
- Experience managing junior actuaries including assigning work, reviewing results and mentoring.
- Demonstrated experience functioning in a matrix manager capacity.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.

- Have experience using Alteryx or SQL.
