Automotive Accounting Administrator

The position performs a variety of accounting and clerical support tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, new vehicle inventory, dealer trades and daily deposit. This includes compiling and maintaining accounting records, reconciling vendor statements for monthly vendor check run, following up on accounts receivable related tasks, processing the daily deposit and dealer trades.
The ideal candidate
must have Automotive Accounting experience , be detail-oriented, understand accounting and proficient with accounting software and with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

- Identify correct customers and invoices by interpreting various remittance advice’s and apply payments to open invoices.
- Identify past due invoices and collect from customers or vendors with a follow up process.
- Analyze customer payments, research duplicate billings, and adjustments to correctly apply and clear open invoices.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements against items posted in accounting and follow up on differences and process monthly vendor check run.
- Process daily deposit for all departments.
- Stock in all incoming NEW vehicle units.
- Process accounting for dealer trades.
- Perform monthly, quarterly month end reconciliations and reports.
- Complete the annual 1099 filing requirements.
- Maintain clean accurate accounting schedules and reconciliations.
- Provide administrative support to management, other departments and coworkers as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have 2 years' experience in AUTOMOTIVE ACCOUNTING. - ( ONLY AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE NEED APPLY).
- Must be extremely professional.
- Must possess excellent organization skills.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent work ethics including maintaining a neat work area.
- Good attendance required.
- Tekion DMS experience would be a HUGE plus.
