Job description

We are working with a national law firm that would like to add an exceptional litigation paralegal to the Tampa office team.

With a reputation for skilled legal work, exceptional client service, and impeccable integrity, this business law firm seeks to build its team by adding a litigation paralegal. This professional will assist attorneys during the litigation process, with an emphasis on financial services litigation. This includes but is not limited to handling pre-claim investigations, drafting legal documents, maintaining indexes, and organizing case files.

Great candidates for this role should expect to be well-versed in handling the following types of responsibilities:

Experience working with federal and state court procedures and filing requirements, including e-filing in federal and state courts.
Perform administrative duties, such as calendar hearings, court and discovery deadlines.
Draft routine court documents, such as notices of appearance, motions for extension of time, motions for default, and subpoenas.
Manage hard copy and electronic case documents, including managing email and electronic files and preparing binders of hard copy documents.
Create hearing binders and the ability to provide internet research, including pulling cases from Lexis and Westlaw, as needed.
Assist with the general aspects of document productions (redacting, copying, Bates stamping).
Draft foreclosure-related documents, such as notices of lis pendens, final judgments of foreclosure, notices of sale, and certificates of sale and title.
Assist attorneys with the preparation of motions.
Cite-check, bluebook, and Shepardize briefs and legal memoranda.
Draft routine court documents.
Organize, analyze, and index documents and exhibits.
Assist with all aspects of deposition preparation.
Organize and prepare witness files and trial notebooks.
Create and maintain trial exhibit and deposition designation databases; assist with preparing pre and post-trial briefs.
Ability to convey information to individuals at all levels within the firm courteously and professionally; strong service orientation.
Organize and manage litigation cases from inception to trial and appeal, including document production, deposition preparation, and trial preparation.
Possess excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work concurrently on various projects with changing priorities.
We want to speak with candidates who have the below qualifications.

Bachelor's degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associate/Bachelors degree in Paralegal studies preferred.
Florida Registered Paralegal preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of litigation paralegal experience.
Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills.
Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices.
Ability to apply understanding and knowledge of the litigation process from pretrial to post-trial.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Superior interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication across a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff while maintaining a high level of work quality and customer service.
Ability to travel locally and nationwide as needed.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
Ability to work moderate to heavy overtime.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 60,000.00 95,000.00 Per Year
