Seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong programming skills in Java Spring Boot and experience in Cloud-based application development and testing.
Position Description:
We are in search of a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer responsible for testing and validating scalable microservices built using Java and the Google Cloud Platform technology stack. The role emphasizes test automation and improved efficiency of test processes. The primary job responsibility includes developing and executing test plans and test suites for a Global e-commerce application.
Experience Required:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields (Masters preferred)
- 8-12 years of experience in software testing and test automation, specifically BDD framework, Test Automation, and API microservices automation scripting
- Proficiency in Java, open-source technologies, and hands-on experience in microservices using advanced Java concepts
- Experience in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Writing unit test cases using Junit, TestNG
- Familiarity with the agile development lifecycle and worked on design/development projects
- Adherence to secure coding practices with a minimum code coverage of 70%
- Experience with version control tools like "git"
- Exposure/Experience in Google, Amazon/Microsoft cloud computing platforms
- Experience/Exposure to NoSQL datastore (nice to have)
- Development, documentation, and maintenance of test plans, procedures, and scripts, along with performing well-defined product-level integration tests
- Familiarity with code repositories and tracking systems such as Git, Confluence/SharePoint, JIRA/Rally for documentation, scripts, results, configuration, and supporting data
- Basic database knowledge and API testing experience in data quality testing with large datasets
- Collaboration with extended integration partner teams to define and execute exploratory and automated API tests
- Experience with test automation concepts, platforms, systems, and tools (BDD, Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, Rest Clients, TestNG, Cucumber/Gherkin, etc.)
- Working with IDE tools such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA
- Knowledge about contract testing using Pact or a similar framework (preferred)
- Good understanding of the eCommerce domain is a plus
- Establishment and promotion of QA guidelines, best practices, and standards.
