Position Summary:
Labor One is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Fitter Supervisor to join our team for a project based in Brownsville, TX. As a Structural Fitter Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful fabrication and assembly of structural components. Your expertise in overseeing a team of skilled fitters, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to project timelines will be crucial to the project's success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of structural fitters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate assembly of structural components.
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of tasks.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and best practices to create a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project milestones are met and any challenges are addressed promptly.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify precision, accuracy, and alignment of fabricated components.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and labor hours for reporting purposes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the fabrication process, coordinating with the necessary teams to find effective solutions.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement within the fitter team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Structural Fitter Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction or maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of structural fabrication techniques, materials, and assembly processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
