Targeted Hourly Pay Range: Minimum of $21.00 to a maximum of $29.75

POSITION PURPOSE: Operator II Operates and maintains oil recovery and wastewater treatment plants including processing, disposal and testing equipment in the facilities to purify oil and water to meet permit and operational requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
  2. Collect and test water and sewage samples.
  3. Record meter and gauge readings and operational data.
  4. Operate equipment to purify and clarify water or to process or dispose of waste.
  5. Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas.
  6. Inspect all equipment on a regular basis.
  7. Follow U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations. 
  8. Ensure safety standards are met.
