Job description
We are a successful and highly recognized commercial cleaning franchise company with a regional development office in Overland Park, KS. We help local cleaning and disinfecting franchisees, Certified Business Owners (CBOs), generate and retain business through a system of cleaning practices, sales and marketing, communication, and ongoing coaching/management skills. The Kansas City office has been open since 1999 and things continue to go well thanks to many members of our team. So, we're looking for someone with strong coaching, organizational, and management skills to help us in the Kansas City and possible outlying areas of Topeka, Lawrence, St. Joseph, and Manhattan.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary $50,000.00, individual and team bonus opportunities resulting in a compensation range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description:
The Janitorial Franchise Business Consultant's responsibility is to provide daily field assistance and support to our network of local certified cleaning and disinfecting business owners. Support provided includes proactive site visits of customers, training, coordinate starting new clients, audits of certified business owner's services and compliance of Jan-Pro brand standards. Additional responsibilities in sales include providing estimates for special services and increased cleaning requests, customer service management, installing dispensers, delivering disposable janitorial products, etc.
This position is a day shift shift role with some flexibility required as business needs dictate. Work hours will generally be between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with rotating evenings worked on Wednesdays for Jan-Pro business owner certification classes . You will assist certified business owners on new account starts and coordinating emergency cleans which include some weekends and/or evenings. 80% of your time will be in the field and 20% of your time in the regional office for administrative tasks. For out of town training events, 5% of your time could be overnight travel.
Responsibilities:
- Certified Cleaning and Disinfecting franchise business owner (CBO) development
- Account retention
- Cleaning site audits
- Recommending solutions and ongoing training to assist certified business owners in improving service levels
- Identifying additional special service opportunities to assist in increasing revenue for Jan-Pro certified business owners
- Assisting Operations Director in preparation and delivery of the initial franchise certification and providing classroom and onsite coaching for new and existing franchisees
- Thoroughly documenting and providing reports on customer and certified business owner visits and/or phone calls
- Communicating and coaching CBO's regarding customer service practices and processes
- Performing cleaning customer service calls
- Promptly providing guidance to CBO's in troubleshooting customer requests/complaints or deficiencies identified during client inspections
- Closing the loop on customer service calls and marginal inspections
- Assisting with new customer start ups, insuring scope of work has been completed
- Coordinating meetings with the CBO's in the field at their customer locations
- Deliver janitorial supplies
- Expected certify CBO's in emergency cleaning services and floor technician responsibilities including stripping and waxing, carpet extraction, floor buffing, team cleaning training, etc.
- Understanding the value and benefits of the Jan-Pro brand
- Documenting best practices in the field through written reports, photos, and video
A commercial cleaning background is not required, however, required skills include:
* basic knowledge of outlook email and calendar, CRM database management, word, excel, apple device familiarity
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- ability to function in high-pressure situations
- manual dexterity to operate a computer (desk-top and lap-top) and other electronic equipment
- ability to take legible hand-written notes where necessary
- correctable vision and hearing
- ability to transfer office supplies/equipment up to 50 pounds into and out of vehicle
- clear, easy to understand oral communication ability
- ability to sit for prolonged periods
