Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for performing complex statistical analysis and financial modeling in support of all enterprise business and provides strategic insight and initiatives to drive financial improvement. This role oversees a team of analysts that review, design, and implement performance reporting to monitor financial results, as well as demand modeling to ensure optimal staffing levels and efficiencies. In addition, the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for managing multiple, simultaneous, and advanced analytical projects which provides concise, accurate, actionable, and strategic recommendations for both gaming and non-gaming areas with special focus on hospitality performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Leads an internal team of analysts who report and evaluate on the performance of all casino gaming and non-gaming areas including all hospitality verticals. Manages relationships within the enterprise and act as the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) point of contact for all analytical needs including ad hoc analyses, business reviews, and leads projects as assigned by the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

2. Oversees and automates key analytical reports for the property operating departments. Utilizes enterprise business intelligence platforms such as Power BI to build departmental dashboards with robust visualization of data to tell a story that bridges the gap between data and decision making.

3. Performs complex statistical analyses on experimental or business data to validate and quantify trends or patterns identified by business analysts.

4. Supports the annual budget and forecasting process by providing financial responsibility for operating and administrative areas.

5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks, and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
