Job description
Educational Service Unit 5, located in Beatrice, NE is accepting applications for an EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR for the 2024-25 school year. This unique and exciting position will require a highly motivated, independent individual who possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and the ability to work with a team. High school diploma required. Post-Secondary education in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or Special Education preferred.
Early Childhood Services Coordinators work through the Early Development Network (EDN) to assist families, with eligible children ages birth to 3 years old, in finding services and resources to meet: developmental, educational, financial, health care, child care, respite care and other needs. With so many providers involved, the Services Coordinators help to coordinate these services and ensure the families receive the services they are due. The Services Coordinator is an advocate for the families. The Early Development Network provides family-centered services, based on the special needs of each child and family. Services that may be provided to children and families include but aren’t limited to:
Speech/Language therapy
Physical therapy
Occupational therapy
Psychological services
Assistive technology devices and services
Audiology
Vision services
Transportation
