Job Title: Mid-level Associate Attorney
Job Description:
Our law firm is currently seeking a Mid-level Associate Attorney with a strong background in multiple practice areas including personal injury, labor, employment, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and family law. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of experience in these areas, demonstrating a solid understanding of legal principles and a track record of successful case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload encompassing personal injury, labor, employment, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and family law matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, addressing their concerns and advising on legal strategies.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and ensure optimal client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, documenting all case-related activities and communications.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all legal matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional legal services and fostering trust and confidence.
- Assist in business development efforts, including networking, client outreach, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2-6 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on personal injury, labor, employment, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and family law.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and delivering high-quality legal services with integrity.
- Portable book of business is not a requirement, but the ability to attract and retain clients is advantageous.
