Seeks a Facilities Engineer Manager to join its dynamic and growing team. The Facilities Manager is responsible for completing general work requests associated with the day-to-day maintenance of the Facilities in conjunction with the General Manager.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of general facility maintenance experience and experience working in building maintenance specifically as it relates to warehouse maintenance and climate-controlled space with strong technical knowledge as well as an understanding of workplace and personal safety on the job. This position reports out of South San Francisco facility but will be required to travel to its Livermore facility as well.
Core Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities and Engineering, ensure all facility equipment is maintained per the manufacture spec in a timely manner
- When appropriate, troubleshoot and fix broken equipment such as HVAC, dock levels, doors, fans, belts, roof top units, handling equipment etc.
- Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling and access for third party vendors and assorted contractors
- Assist with scheduling third parties to ensure adherence to service contract requirements
- Communicate with the wider business regarding any facilities related work scheduled to take place that may impede operations.
- Troubleshoot and assist clients with various requests in a timely manner
- Assist with procuring estimates and proposals from various third parties
- Ensure all department files related to the site are kept up to date and organized
- Monitor and track attic stock and materials required to service the building in adherence with the facilities budget
- Monitor and communicate the completion of any and all work orders to key stakeholders and any relevant vendors
- Actively works alongside management to trouble shoot and solve facility related problems as needed
- Support all facility related requests for internal and external events that take place on site Schedule and assist any and all inspections related to the facility
- Assist with implementation and drafting of various processes and procedures associated to the running of a safe and efficient facility
- Oversee third party cleaning staff to ensure highest level of facility cleanliness
- On-call availability
- Other projects as assigned by Manager
- Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
- Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet;
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead;
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow; and Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment
- In conjunction with other key stakeholders, establish goals and objectives in line with Performance Management program; providing semi-annual feedback and completing annual performance reviews for all direct reports and subsequent team members.
- Create a positive and engaging work environment by mentoring, coaching, and motivating direct reports and their team members.
- Other projects as assigned by the Manager.

- -SF, Livermore, LA & Anaheim
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise details regarding building issues
- The ability to multi task in a fast paced environment while ensuring the utmost attention to detail
- Innate ability to make quick sound decisions
- Must be team oriented with the ability to work across various departments
- Experience working with a Building Management System, Fire Alarm and Security system is preferable
- Certifications for fire watch, sprinkler standpipe and fire pump is preferable
- Occasional nights and weekends required; flexible schedule is preferable
