Responsibilities

Programs of service include an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and a 40-bed acute psychiatric hospital. North Spring Behavioral Healthcare offers comprehensive benefits for the Community Liaison position, such as:

Position Purpose:  Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, develops and maintains relationships in markets that will generate desired utilization of the facility’s continuum of care.  To provide community education on the mission and goals of North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.

Key Responsibilities :   

  1. Assists the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote the services offered at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare to all potential referral sources in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the hospital.
  2. Travels regionally to maintain a database of healthcare professionals.
  3. Responsible for growing patient census by consistently exploring the development of new referral sources, maintaining and managing existing accounts, identifying referral source needs and tailoring services to meet those needs.
  4. Coordinates with the Director of Business Development on-going updates of the Referral Source Data Base.
  5. Coordinates with the Admissions Department efforts to follow up with all referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
