An Automation Engineer job in Marlborough, MA is currently accepting applications. This is a 6-month contract position with our key biotechnology client. In this role, you will deploy and customize existing software library elements per project requirements. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering along with 5+ years of related experience.
Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Generate project documentation for requirements and testing
- Deploy and customize existing software library elements per project requirements
- Perform engineering tests & protocol shakedown
- Perform formal verification testing
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to
process equipment hardware and software
- Describe the expected materials from the outsourced need (reports, software, designs, equipment, etc.):
- Generate project documentation for requirements and testing
- Deploy and customize existing software library elements per project requirements
- Perform engineering tests & protocol shakedown
- Perform formal verification testing
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to process equipment hardware and software
Automation Engineer Job Requirements:
* B.S. Degree in Engineering
* At least one of the following:
o Aveva/OSI Pi Historian & Pi Vision
o Rockwell PLC, Logix 5000, FT View, PlantPAx
o Aveva System Platform 2020
o Emerson DeltaV & Live Graphics
* Industrial communication protocols such as
Profibus, OPC, and EtherNet/IP
- GAMP5 (V-Model) documentation
- Verification test planning and execution
- Experience within biotechnology strongly preferred
