WHAT YOU'LL DO: This position will serve as the administrative manager for study abroad Registrar, database, and MAUI functions for Study Abroad, therefore the responsibilities require substantial problem-solving, discretion and independent judgment. This position will provide some administrative support for staff in Study Abroad. That includes advisors, a participant services coordinator and study abroad management. In addition, this person is expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships within International Programs staff, students and constituents. This person will work closely and effectively with many other offices on campus including the Registrar's Office, Billing and Financial Aid, and Information Technology Services

About the Department: International Programs (IP) shapes and guides the University of Iowa's role as a leading international institution serving Iowa and the world.
We provide guidance and support for international students in the University of Iowa community, as well as scholarships and assistance for UI students who wish to study, intern, or do research abroad. We also provide funding opportunities and grant and fellowship assistance for UI faculty engaged in international research. We amplify the globally oriented accomplishments of UI students, faculty, and staff by promoting such work through various media and public engagement activities.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location .
