Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Lab Technician to join our team and work on amazing watch products! In this role, you would be responsible for handling all aspects of the EE labs such as, soldering, equipment/calibration, tools and materials, device allocation, and equipment ordering. This is an exciting role where you will be working on next-generation Watch products.
Key Qualifications
- Expert soldering skills
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in lab setup and maintenance.
- 5+ years as a lab technician is a plus
- Ability to rework, repair, and modify SMT PCBs down to 0201/01005 package size
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable with working on Mac
- Willingness and ability to learn new things
- Experience with small mechanical assembly/disassembly is a plus
Description
Hand soldering experience with emphasis on:
*Reworking fine-pitch SMT parts including BGA parts
*Attaching probes and wires to printed circuit boards
Review test equipment specs with the engineering team and work with vendors to obtain quotes and file purchase orders
Experience in reading and interpreting electronic schematics
Setup and takedown of test stations and test racks when necessary.
Maintain lab assets, instrument calibration, and storage space.
Ensure compliance with lab certifications and location requirements.
Organize lab tools, prototype parts, and maintain a record of lab instruments using an internal system.
Education & Experience
2-4 year degree/diploma in a scientific field

The base pay range for this role is between $42.85 and $76.15/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
