Job description
Kforce has a client in Leawood, KS that is seeking a Business Partner for a six-month contract to hire opportunity.
Summary:
The Business Partner will work with the organization to drive the execution of their CargoWise One strategy and move the organization to the preferred future state. They will maintain a deep functional knowledge and awareness of business processes and supporting applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of the technology supporting CargoWise One to drive functionality that is in line with the underlying engines, data structures, integration points, user interface and application usability
- Lead the development of clear scope documents for IT work requests; Scope documents will include a well-defined scope statement, business justification and financial justification; The approved scope will provide clear direction to the development team as they move into requirements, definition of the problem to be solved, how the application will function, and the benefit to the user
- Lead business process mapping activities related to definition of new or enhanced technical functionality
- Perform thorough analysis of business processes and opportunities
- Participate in demand management process
- Work with IT Management and Staff to establish resource availability and appropriate business team members to determine priorities both regionally and enterprise wide
- Evaluate available packaged software solutions as needed for solving business problems
- Make recommendations based on fit to the business need, cost, level of required customization and integration, fit to the strategic roadmap for the business line and enterprise
- Develop and publish metrics for the IT organization using data available in the workflow and time reporting system analyze the data to deliver information that will increase the efficiency of the organization
- Occasional travel may be required which may include international travel
