Job description
Summary
Lead small groups of up to 10 students in grades K-8 in various activities including arts and crafts, science, and math, music, inside and outside games, sports, dance, homework, yoga, theater, technology, fitness activities, cheerleading, electronics, science, and other enrichment programs.
Under direct supervision of the Before & After School Center Administrator, Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring students are actively engaged in learning activities, maintaining a safe environment, and monitoring student behavior according to ERfC?s discipline procedures.

Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours:
After School 2:45 PM ? 6:15 PM
Before School?6:45 AM ? 8:45 AM
Duties - Maintain positive program environment, ensuring health and safety of students at all times
- Build positive relationships with students
- Follow the daily schedule by leading planned activities as scheduled
- Facilitate smooth transitions between activities
- Communicate effectively with other staff, students, and OST Administrator daily
- Document all incidents, issues or behavior management actions effectively on daily logs
- Assist other staff with setting up and clean up from program daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements - Experience working with children in a learning environment.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to escort children from location to location, inside and outside school building.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies, up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to demonstrate activities to children, including arts and crafts and sports.
- Must have required certification in pediatric CPR, first aid, medication administration, and epi-pen administration or obtain in a timely manner
- Must submit fingerprints and background check
- Must be available for all training dates.
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
Nice To Haves - Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have met all academic requirements for head teacher certification.

ERfC Summer Escape is located at Prudence Crandall School in Enfield and is licensed by the CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC).
