Who we are

The mission of ECDS is to prepare and inspire students to THRIVE and create a better world. THRIVE is also an acronym for our core values (Transformation, Heads/Hands/Hearts, Relationships, Inspiration, Vigor and Emotional Intelligence). ECDS is located in Evergreen, just off I-70, with easy access to the city and mountains.

We are a school of 220 students, Toddler through 8 th grade, situated on a beautiful, modern 11-acre campus.

We are a learning community of dedicated educators where autonomy, collaboration and a growth mindset are valued. 

Our parent community is thoughtful, supportive and engaged in the mission of the school. Throughout the year, our parent organization actively supports the faculty so that they can do their best work for the students in the building.

The ideal candidate

• Has a deep understanding of English language arts, literature, and effective teaching methods tailored to middle school students.
• Fosters a positive and engaging learning environment while promoting literacy, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
• Has experience as a student advisor or coach.
• Is enthusiastic, positive, and has a passion for inspiring young minds.

• Engage in opportunities for service learning, outdoor education, and student travel programs (both domestic and international).

About Evergreen Country Day School

Evergreen Country Day is a small, independent school located in the foothills outside of Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to prepare and inspire students to thrive and create a better world. Our community is special, and our staff tend to have career longevity at ECDS. We value curiosity, good communication, collaboration between administrative staff and faculty, and a student-centered approach to everything we do. As an administrative staff we operate as a team and hold ourselves to high individual standards of excellence. Our location is special, and it attracts employees from both the Denver metro area and Evergreen. We are twenty minutes from Denver, twenty minutes from Evergreen Lake, and thirty minutes from Echo ski resort. Our students get outside and this position may have the opportunity to hike, bike, camp, ski and take both domestic and international trips with students.
