As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Lead within the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), the team member is responsible for managing new product sample demand to support CNBU customers across Micron’s cloud, enterprise, networking, and personal computer customer base. The CNBU portfolio represents a significant portion of Micron’s revenue and includes DDR5, LPDDR5, CXL-attached DRAM, GDDR and HBM. While working with changing priorities and schedules, you will prioritize the efforts of a cross-functional team, comprising product engineering, field applications engineering, global quality, product management, segment marketing and operations, to ensure successful product introductions at our customers.

NPI Product Leads will drive towards a comprehensive customer sample plan that will ramp into a high-volume product. This person will lead cross functional teams to develop/improve and document business processes that are vital to ramp a product.

Product Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Implement part number creation for both engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
• Collect volume requirements for initial sampling and early volume and maintain accuracy in system tools.
• Work with the Product Management team to confirm product configuration requirements, priorities, and alignment with portfolio.
• Align with partner organizations such as Product Operation Management, Program Management Office, and Product Engineering on the program achievements and associated committed dates for samples.
• Communicate expected availability dates to the segment marketing and field applications engineering for Go to Market communications, Customer Roadmap alignment and Bill of Material positioning.
• Coordinate build & shipment priorities in alignment with Marketing priorities.
• Align with cross functional team on fulfilling customer sample demand, understanding product issues, manufacturing line challenges and scheduling priorities.
• Work with manufacturing teams, Marketing, Operations and Sales to identify aged and slow-moving inventory and develop inventory depletion plans.
• Maintain and publish decoders for Marketing Part Number and Package Codes.
• Work cross functionally to identify and drive business process creation or improvements as vital to support more efficient workflows.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple subject areas, and sites, while leading multiple high priority projects.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data and translate into relevant information.
• Intermediate to Sophisticated level of expertise with Microsoft Excel, including building and manipulating pivot tables, reconcile data across multiple Excel workbooks, manipulation of data for reports and presentations, and ability to use formulas and conditional formatting, PowerPoint, specifically the ability to build/manipulate timelines, tables, and summaries, Word, Outlook, and Share Point
• Experience with manufacturing or design of memory product.
• Experience with SAP, TeamCenter, visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, knowledge preferred.
• Experience with managing Business Process management preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or marketing preferred.
