Part-time Lecturer - Computer Science About the Opportunity The Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University invites applications for the position of part-time lecturer, teaching in the Computer Science [CS] and Data Science [DS] Masters Programs at The Roux Instituteat Northeastern University in Portland, Maine. Part-time positions are contingent upon enrollment, funding, and program needs. Responsibilities: Part-time faculty teach one or more courses as part of the MS CS and MS DS degree programs at the Roux Institute. Courses are 14-weeks long, with fall, spring, and summer terms beginning in September, January, and May, respectively. Each course normally meets for 3 hours and 20 minutes once per week, often in the evening to support working students. Other meeting schedules are possible. Faculty are expected to teach in-person while also supporting remote learners. Teaching synchronously online may also be possible. We are searching across allareas of computer science and data science. Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree with industry experience. A Ph.D. in computer science or a related field is preferred. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate effectively with diverse and exceptional students in-person and online.
