Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Job Summary
LRCGQ IT is accountable for all technology solutions for the Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Government Relations, & Quality (LRCGQ) organization. The team is comprised of both product-centric development teams leveraging agile delivery methodologies that focus on custom software as well as more project driven commercial of the shelf solution implementations in the following areas:
• Controlled Substances Monitoring Program (CSMP): Electronic Order Monitoring, Customer Due Diligence, & Reporting technology, Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS) platforms support & governance
We currently have a multi-year investment planned to transform all related technology as part of CSMP Technology Evolution project. We are looking for a Sr. Engineer / Tech Lead to join our CSMP Systems team. This person will focus primarily on our implementation of licensing and suspicious order monitoring solutions but may evolve into additional responsibilities over time.
A candidate for this job should have a desire to help deliver package software implementations against a multi-year ERP implementation roadmap. The role will have the opportunity to work on new technologies, application integrations and grow technical leadership skills. This role will also drive an integration partner in delivering a custom built SAP GTS Solution.
Responsibilities
- Shapes project solutions that maximize business value by leveraging business, technical, and architectural knowledge, and standards.
- Be able to serve as a solution owner in some cases, and work with the project manager, to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and with quality.
- Act as an IT business partner with the CSMP Licensing and Suspicious Order Monitoring teams.
- Works with business, Project Manager and proposal/project teams to develop functional/technical scope and approach options consistent with enterprise architecture.
- Checks with BA to confirm solutions conform to business standards and requirements.
- Identifies architectural issues and works with project teams and solution architects to resolve.
- Works with Project Manager to develop/update technical solution project estimates.
- Subject matter expert to address applications, integration, and infrastructure architecture questions.
- Guides projects to conformance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Resolves architectural issues by presenting options and working with Project Manager, solution architecture teams to resolve.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience preferred
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
- Experience in design, development, and implementation of solutions using SAP GTS preferred
- Good understanding of OOPS, Design principles, architecture styles and APIs (Rest API) preferred
- Experience in working across multiple systems, technologies, and integration scenarios preferred
- Experience with relational database design patterns and query building preferred
- Ability and aptitude for cloud-based software development in a team environment preferred
- Experience working in DevOps Environments preferred
- Experience with integration patterns and leading design sessions with cross-functional teams preferred
- Experience with Buy vs. Build and options analysis preferred
- Experience with our various ERP / Order Management Systems preferred
- Experience with SAP GTS is a plus for this role preferred
- Experience working on Agile projects and Agile software development practices preferred
- Experience working in large ERP integration and implementation program preferred
- Passion/self-motivation for on-going continuous learning preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred
- Excellent organizational skills preferred

Anticipated salary range : $119,800 - $ 171,100
