Job Description and Duties

The Office of the Secretary of State is recruiting to fill a permanent full-time Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) position in the Information Technology Division (ITD).


Under the general direction of the Software Engineering Unit 3 supervisor, the Information Technology specialist I is responsible for data preparation and supporting design, development, automated testing and implementation of Cal-ACCESS Replacement System (CARS) while working with the CARS project team. The incumbent works with the Application and Infrastructure teams to assist with developing the long-term enterprise application development strategy to support current and future customer requirements; The Information Technology Specialist I works with external project teams on the most complex projects. The incumbent must have a high degree of knowledge and experience in the technical domain of Software Engineering and IT Project Support required for this classification.
