Job description
We are seeking a well-tenured Purchasing Manager to join our client’s team in Memphis. Our client is a leading importer and wholesale distribution provider in the window treatment industry. As the Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement process and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.
Compensation: Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (negotiable)

Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Five years of experience in Purchasing Management, preferably in a multi-location setting.
- Proven proficiency in a purchasing environment with a strong customer orientation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to strategize effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a successful track record of supervising subordinates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with NetSuite and/or Easy Stock is a plus.
- Strong prioritization, planning, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: - Strategically leading all aspects of purchasing to maintain high service levels while minimizing overstock and obsolete inventory.
- Evaluating production lead-time and transit time for two warehouse locations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan for future growth.
- Utilizing data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Coordinating information flow between various departments and the contract manufacturer in Vietnam.
- Ensuring adherence to inventory policies and maintaining proper inventory levels.
