Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Auditor will be responsible for performing assigned audit and internal control test work and helping to report the audit results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Peforming audit work within assigned areas and generate documentation showing results and findings of the audit
•Evaluate adequacy of existing controls, identifying weak or missing controls and make recommendations to strengthen controls
•Prepare memos and reports to communicate audit findings to line management
•Follow-up on management’s corrective action progress on issues cited
•Collaborate with Corporate Auditor and the Audit Managers in working with Bank Examiners and external auditors; and
•Travel to other Bank location/offices in order to perform assigned audits as necessary.
•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field required
•CPA, CIA, CFSA, CRCM, CTA or professional certification highly desired
•Previous professional work experience and prior working knowledge in audit highly desired
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) required
•Strong organizational and analytical skills and detail-oriented
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
•Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently, demonstrate time management, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and
•Ability to travel up to 10%
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
