Job description

Position Summary:

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Professor Jean Baum in the Dept. of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University. The project focuses on studies of protein aggregation and fibril formation with particular emphasis on understanding the mechanisms of aggregation of alpha-synuclein, the primary protein component in Parkinson's disease, and on developing approaches for inhibition of aggregation. Methods include NMR , atomic force microscopy, biophysical and biological approaches, cell toxicity assays as well as collaborations with faculty at RBHS .

Minimum Education and Experience:

PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
