Endoscope reprocessing technician responsible for all aspects of scope reprocessing and infection control and prevention.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Reprocessing of all endoscopy equipment following strict adherence to manufacturer instructions for use and infection control & prevention guidelines. This will include manual cleaning, high-level disinfection, drying, and proper scope storage.
- Maintain a record of endoscopes sent out for repair.
- Perform routine maintenance on reprocessing equipment
- Clean & disinfect all used beds with disinfectant and change linen.
- Keep accurate records of reprocessing of equipment
- Filing and purging of patient charts & other clerical tasks as needed.
