The Department of Public Health and Nutrition is seeking an hourly Academic Wage: Faculty Research Assistant . This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately five (5) months, but may be ended before this date or extended at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.

This position provides research assistance to promote successful completion of on-going research projects of the Dallas Bioactive Dairy Peptide lab. The Dallas Lab is managed by David Dallas and is housed in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University.

The primary role of this position is to assist with data analysis, writing, and editing manuscripts for publication. The incumbent will work with and under the direction of Dr. David Dallas. Primary responsibilities involve searching published literature for relevant data, assisting researchers with data location, and writing manuscripts to submit for publication. The position will therefore provide key support for on-going research productivity.

The environment is highly collaborative, including faculty, post-doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students. Dallas lab personnel work with members of other research groups at Oregon State University and Dairy industry members. Work is performed at Oregon State University in Corvallis.

Work may be done remotely. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday. The position will have flexibility for workday start and end times that can be discussed with Dr. David Dallas.

This position is anticipated to work variable hours depending on the needs of the lab; however, this role is approved to work up to FTE 1.0 and is expected to work full time most weeks. The role will be paid on an hourly basis.

Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education, skills, and experience.
