M/I Homes Chicago Intern Program (Construction):
The M/I Homes Intern Program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated, innovative, and inspired individuals to work on challenging assignments where contribution, teamwork and communication are vital to the success of the organization. Interns will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background, skill set and interests. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture and homebuilding industry through work assignments, structured activities, and other events. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited back for a return internship the following summer or may be considered for full-time positions.

Internship Format:
The format for this internship will be either in-office, or on-site depending on the role, meaning the intern will work either in a professional office or on a construction site for the duration of their internship. Relocation and housing will not be provided. In some cases, business travel may be required.
Department Details:
Construction : Interns will assist the Construction Managers in coordinating the on-site construction activities for assigned subdivisions. In addition to providing general labor for homes under construction, the Construction Intern will assist in monitoring the completion of each construction phase through performing inspections, scheduling, and coordination of activities as directed by the Construction Manager.
Customer Care : The Customer Care team services our customers after they close and move into their new homes. Interns will assist the Customer Care Managers with inspections and warranty policy explanations, including the coordination of needed repairs with trade partners to ensure that our customers remain happy with their new homes.
