Job description

Medical Doctor looking for a Medical Assistant/Aesthetician to work in both a doctor's office and a MedSpa. The ideal candidate will have experience and skills as both a Medical Assistant and Aesthetician. Work will be split between the doctor's office in Commack and the MedSpa in Walt Whitman Mall.

Candidate must be knowledgeable in medical terminology and the day-to-day operations of a medical office and must be interested in delivering aesthetic services. Willing to train a licensed Medical Assistant to perform aesthetic procedures under the guidance of the Physician. A licensed Aesthetician, however, must have experience with medical terminology, authorizations, insurance and working in a Medical Office. 

Required Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Ability to provide strong customer service and compassionate care of the highest quality.
• Clean exam rooms.
• Medical Office experience (Medical terminology).
• Experience delivering aesthetic treatments.
• Strong ability to sell and cross-sell aesthetic, skincare, and medical spa products and services.
• Must be able to advise and consult on skin and skincare services.
• Must be willing to learn new aesthetic procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.

Optional Skills (highly preferred):

• Digital Marketing through social media.
• Licensed Aesthetician or Esthetician with Medical Experience.
• Licensed Medical Assistant.
• Previous experience in a medical spa.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience delivering aesthetic treatments such as:
  • HydraFacials.
  • Laser hair removals.
  • Microneedling.
  • Skin consultation.

Opportunities to grow, expand and obtain training as the practice grows.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Opportunity for commission in the future depending on experience.
