Lanier Technical College – ( is gearing up for increased student enrollment for both Summer Semester (beginning May 20th) and Fall Semester (beginning August 12th). Therefore, we are conducting a search now for the following part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA-exempt position. NOTE: A background check is part of the selection process. POSITION: ADJUNCT HUMANITIES INSTRUCTOR – Different Campus Locations Available



REPORTS TO: General Education Program Chair



SALARY: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours



TARGET START DATES: SUMMER SEMESTER - MAY 20TH, 2024

FALL SEMESTER - AUGUST 12TH, 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned:



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate semester hours in Humanities. NOTE: Please upload your unofficial transcript(s) or we will be unable to consider you further for this position.



COMPETENCIES:
Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials
Knowledge of vocational area of assignment
Skill in presenting subject matter
Skill in administering tests to evaluate progress
Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners
Oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of student information systems



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):

Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level;

Experience with online teaching platforms

This position is available at all Lanier Tech campus locations; day and evening classes available.

NOTE : Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment that are appointed on a per-academic-term basis.
