About The Team:

What You Will Do:
Design and construct robust, scalable systems that elevate Clover's engineering prowess.
Collaborate with service development teams to create and support the platform, contributing to a cohesive technical strategic roadmap.
Advocate for improvements, enhancing Clover's applications and products through your platform contributions.
Coordinate major architectural changes across teams, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
Systematically solve problems and communicate effectively, embodying a strong sense of ownership.
What You Will Need To Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of industry expertise.
Proficiency in Java or other equivalent object oriented programming language.
Backend service development skills.
Familiarity with modern containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software design.
Skill in diagnosing technical issues, debugging code, and automating tasks.
Experience with relational databases.
What Would Be Great To Have:
Prior experience with service decomposition.
Background in building, deploying, and maintaining large-scale services.
Knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
Familiarity with technologies such as:
Cloud: Kubernetes (EKS or GKE), Virtual Machine (GCE or EC2), networking, and provisioning (Terraform).
Service development API: OpenAPI, Protobuf, GQL.
Service mesh: Istio, Linkerd, Consul.
Proxy: Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy, Apache Server.
Caching: Redis, Memorystore.
Observability: Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Splunk.

Salary Range
$112,900.00 - $192,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
