Job description
Iconic retail organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager join their growing team!
The Accounts Payable Manager will support the Director of AP with standardizing processes and management of the AP process.
Responsibilities:
- Streamline AP processes and make more efficient
- Synergize all internal controls and augment documentation
- Approve/review monthly and quarterly journal entries
- Process AP transactions in a thorough and timely manner
- SOX compliance support, testing and reporting
- Collaborate with team to ensure accounting deadlines are met - balance sheet reconciliations
- Implement new controls as well as maintain existing departmental controls and ensure all pertinent controls are in existence
- Mentor/develop AP staff members
Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years of related AP experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or Finance highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally
- Leadership/management experience
- Knowledge/experience with Peoplesoft preferred
