Job description
As an employee/owner at MEC, the Production Support Coordinator will perform a variety of activities in accordance with definite rules and instructions; Assists in data gathering, filing, copying, or other related clerical duties, including the processing of information through the use of PCs or computer terminals.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.
- Serves as point person on the production floor relative to communicating information from the planner to the floor and back from the floor to the planner.
- Assembles and distributes job packets, and may print pick tickets as needed for jobs and distributes to the floor.
- Review/maintain Job Priority List and prioritize “hot jobs” for the department. May need to arrange shipping pick-up/delivery of priority jobs between facilities.
- Assist operators when job packets are incorrect due to revision changes. May need to create new job packets including run charts, set-up charts, barcode labels, blueprints, etc…Make appropriate changes, re-print, copy, and distribute to operators and other personnel.
- Performs daily timekeeping data entry for assigned departments. Makes any necessary labor recording adjustments/corrections for the production employees within the department. Includes absences, vacation, scheduling.
- Ensures overtime work is laid out with priorities, based on Planner/Supervisor input.
- Organizes and files shop packets, set-up specs, folders and prints.
- Locate and identify missing parts, loads and WIP in facility.
- Inventory Accuracy - ensure operator quantity counts are accurate; identify and correct any discrepancies’ found.
- Ensures postings are current on group's communications boards.
- Act as a backup to other PSC’s and train New PSC’s when necessary
- Assists Supervisors with miscellaneous administrative duties.

- Qualifications
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prior office background utilizing office equipment such as calculators, computers, typewriters, etc. Must be familiar with various software programs such as Lotus, Excel, and Word.
- * LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
